Your tasks

Market Strategy

  • Contribute to the business strategy development of the truck business.
  • Devises how strategy will be practically implemented
  • Determine measurement criteria for strategy
  • Keep abreast of market developments and trends
  • Price, product, promotion, and place focus, analyses, trends, intelligence from the market
  • Identify potential new business opportunities in the regions

Sales Planning

  • Design a tactical sales plan to support annual sales target
  • implement fleet direct strategy
  • compile initial forecast and then update monthly (based on ground up input from market)
  • compile forecast by article
  • compile ground up volume input for annual budget

Sales Process Management

  • determine input activities for sales processes, measure and monitor at regular intervals
  • conduct highlevel customer share of account assessment
  • oversee back order management
  • maintain high level overview of individual prospects lists
  • conduct customer visits along with sales person to establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer groups.

Business Review / Sales Management

  • regular evaluation of sales plans
  • adaption of forecasts monthly, quarterly
  • review of pricing actions
  • collating market intelligence and ensuring that it is distributed appropriately
  • channel/footprint development

Sales

  • negotiate deals for key national and cross border accounts, that are solutions based
  • set pricing levels, discount structures and profitability boundaries (including Price Action approvals)
  • prospecting new customers
  • manage customer relationship elements of credit management

Communications

  • Cascade product information (new product, changes, quality issues, stock levels)
  • convene and chair cross functional work team meetings (CBT) to ensure alignment of activities
  • Prepare and consolidated reports for PLT Division
  • Recommend course of action based on reports received

Management

  • formally review individual outcome and results
  • coaching and corrective actions
  • discuss and support individual development plans
  • actively plan for succession
  • ensure adherence to administrative procedures

Your profile

Tertiary qualification in Business, Econimiccs or related field

5 years Commercial Sales Management and Technical experience,

Deep understanding of Sales Forecast and Logistics procedures

5 year Leadership experience
